Perla Insurance Claims Guidelines

First Step: Report the accident immediately to our Claims Department or the nearest Perla Insurance branch. The sooner you report it, the faster we can assist you.
Second Step: Submit the necessary requirements for the immediate processing and settlement of your claim. This helps us verify details quickly and avoid delays.
Third Step: Have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Perla Insurance claims representative or an accredited repair shop. Pictures will be taken during the inspection to properly document the damage.
Fourth Step: Check the claim processing turnaround time (TAT) as indicated in our table below to know how long your claim may take.
Fifth Step: Bring your vehicle to an accredited non-CASA repair shop for repairs once you receive the Letter of Authority from Perla Insurance.

List of Requirements
To ensure your claim is processed promptly, please prepare the following documents depending on the type of claim you’re filing:
A. Own Damage Claim
1. Insurance Policy Number/Plate Number of Insured Unit
2. Photocopy of Registration Certificate and latest Official Receipt (OR)
3. Photocopy of Driver’s License and OR
4. Police Report and/or Driver’s Affidavit (duly notarized)
5. Picture(s) of the damaged unit and repair estimate(s) (if available)
6. Other documents that may be required if necessary
B. Third Party (TP) Property Damage Claim
1. All Own Damage requirements
2. Photocopy of Registration Certificate and latest OR of TP vehicle
3. Photocopy of Driver’s License and OR of TP vehicle
4. Picture(s) of the damaged TP unit and repair estimate(s)
5. Certificate of No Claim issued by TP vehicle’s insurer
6. Other documents that may be required
C. Third Party Bodily Injury and/or Death Claim
1. All Own Damage requirements
2. Original Medical Certificate
3. Original Hospital Statement of Accounts/Charge Slips/Sales Invoice
4. Doctor’s Prescription and Sales Invoice for purchased medicines or apparatus outside the hospital
5. Original Professional Fee Official Receipt
6. Photocopy of Birth Certificate of the third party and Parents’ Marriage Contract (in case of death)
7. Other documents that may be required
D. Theft/Carnap Claim
1. Same as Own Damage requirements, but the incident must be reported to the nearest police station where the theft occurred.
2. For Carnap cases, the following are required:
- Original Complaint Sheet and Alarm Sheet from the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), Camp Crame or Regional Office
- Original Certificate of No Recovery from HPG, Camp Crame
- Two (2) or Three (3) sets of ignition keys, depending on the insured unit
- Bank certification stating the early payment amount (if mortgaged)
- Certified copy of Sales Invoice from the car dealer
Preparing these documents ahead of time can significantly shorten the processing period. Remember, complete documents = faster claim approval.
Perla’s Standard Turn-Around Time (TAT)

That’s why we make sure our claims are processed quickly and efficiently, guided by a clear Standard Turn-Around Time (TAT). Our goal is to provide fair, accurate, and transparent service for every client, regardless of the claim amount.
For minor claims amounting to ₱15,000 and below, Perla Insurance can process these in as fast as one (1) day once all required documents are submitted. Claims between ₱20,000 to ₱50,000 are usually completed within three (3) days, while those ranging from ₱60,000 to ₱100,000 are typically processed within five (5) days. Larger claims above ₱100,000 up to ₱200,000 may take around ten (10) days, while those exceeding ₱200,000, including total loss cases, are settled within twenty (20) to thirty (30) days depending on the complexity of the situation.
For special cases such as theft, the standard processing period is twenty (20) days, while carnap claims may take up to ninety (90) days, as these require coordination with law enforcement agencies like the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) for verification and clearance.
These timeframes begin once complete documents have been received by our Claims Department. By ensuring all requirements are submitted accurately, you help us speed up the process and avoid delays.
